We are no longer focused on the provision that God has given, but focused on the acquisition of MORE. Thanksgiving has turned into a time of ravenous feasting, excessive retail therapy and the busy-ness of creating the picturesque holiday gathering that is worthy of a Paula Deen episode! It is no longer a simple time to reflect on the most basic and important things that God has given to us.
My House, My car (even w/250K miles), My bed, My computer, My books, My clothes, My shoes & My heat/air
MY WIFE, MY KIDS, MY FAMILY, MY CHURCH, MY MENTORS, MY MINISTRY
We are rich, we are blessed and we are called to be grateful and generous. More than that we are to realize that ALL we have is given to us by God! (Click here and read 1 Timothy 6:17)
Take a few minutes today, tomorrow and every day to reflect on the things that God has given to you. More importantly tell God how grateful you are for those things. And, never let them slip far from your mind; allow those things to compel you to worship a God who loves us beyond our wildest imagination!
