Challenged

1. Make a list if the things that drive us crazy at GC......Be specific! Without speaking open and honest, the thing or things will still have the power to drive you crazy! (The purpose of this exercise is to clear your mind before list 2. Without doing this well and right, the next step will be impossible to do with transparency!)

2. Now, make a list of your own short-comings and sins that have gotten in the way of God using you as an effective leader/servant at GC. (Be specific and be real about them. If we can't do this, we cannot grow and mature as leaders.)

When we get together, the only list we will share with one another is list #2. We need to live out James 5:16 "Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working." and 2 Chronicles 7:14 "if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land." We need to do this to honor God and allow him to work in Grace Church and nurture a culture of growth and life change. It starts with us!

The first list is to keep you from filtering your own issues through the problems you have with something else! Take list number 1, discard it and realize that the only thing you can really change is you and your own short-comings. If your list #1 shows up, we will have a major issue! Focus on being the best you can be. When we all approach this with such an attitude, the first list will be resolved
