I was in the classroom with our 4 & 5 year olds, saying hello to my boys. The volunteers that were leading had a child in there as well. (Just a side note...Our volunteers at Grace Church are AMAZING....They are crucial to all we get to do.) They shared with me that their 5 year old said something to them that was awesome, but they couldn't share in the classroom with other kids. So, about 2:30 in the afternoon I got a text message with their son's words. Get ready for this......
"I'm gonna be a pastor when I grow up. I'm gonna tell all the people that come to my church that the devil and sin is just a bunch of bullsh*t and not to do it!"
I think if we would have just a bit of this perspective, our pursuit of Jesus would be so much better. We would stay away from the very things that hold us back. James 4:7 "So let God work his will in you. Yell a loud no to the Devil and watch him scamper." It just amazes me that God uses a 5 year old to remind me of a simple truth.
Just for the record....His mom did tell him that was great..but we shouldn't cuss like that!
