Casting Vision

I know that if the vision I am casting does not overwhelm me, then I'll never lean into God to make it happen.

"Just because it hasn't been done, doesn't mean it can't be done."

Joshua 6Joshua had to cast that vision to the entire nation of Israel. He had to call THOUSANDS of people to follow him as he marched around a city for a week and blew some trumpets so they could conquer a city. There is no doubt that plenty of the people were confused, amused and even critical. After all, everyone knows you don't win a battle by marching and playing trumpets! But, that's what God wanted. And, that's exactly what happened.

The answer....OBEDIENCE! He simply did what God asked him to do. God took care of the rest. God was in control of the people's hearts. God knew they would invest. And, no doubt, the results of the marching and trumpet blowing at Jericho was God's doing!

Here's what I believe and what I hold on to when God is calling me to do something audacious, outrageous and bold....

"God can do anything, you know-far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us." Ephesians 3:20

So cast your audacious, outrageous and bold vision knowing that God can do far more than you can imagine!
