Gratitude Day 23

“Children are grateful when Santa Claus puts in their stockings gifts of toys or sweets. Could I not be grateful to Santa Claus when he put in my stockings the gift of two miraculous legs? We thank people for birthday presents of cigars and slippers. Can I thank no one
for the birthday present of birth?”

~ GK Chesterton

Today my challenge to you is to find the profoundly simple things in life some you can place in a category of gratitude. While we anticipate gifts and more over the next few days, let's stop and be grateful for what we already have been given. Be grateful you are still breathing. Be grateful that you have the ability to be online and reading this. Be grateful that your simplest needs have been met today already. Let gratitude grow from the small things.

Here is God's promise to us, "You can be sure that God will take care of everything you need, his generosity exceeding even yours in the glory that pours from Jesus." Philippians 4:19 MSG
